Plenipotentiary Conference will take place in Guadalajara

Plenipotentiary Conference is a supreme body of International Telecommunications Union (ITU) responsible for policy formulation. At the Conference convened once at four years:
•    General policy of the Union is determined;
•    Strategic and finance plans of four years duration are adopted; and
•    Core executives of the Organization, Council members, and Radioregulatory Committee members are elected.

Plenipotentiary Conference is a key event in the course of which ITU member-states make decisions concerning Organization’s role in future, hence, determining its ability to affect and influence on the development of information-communication technologies (ICT) worldwide.


Members of ITU sectors, regional telecommunication organizations, intergovernmental organizations, UNO and its specialized agencies also can take part in Conference work as observers.
