ITU Regional seminar for CIS countries \"Internet Things and Future of the Communication Network\"

From June 19 to June 21 in St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications named after Professor M. A. Bonch-Bruyevich took place ITU regional seminar for CIS countries "Internet of Things and future of the Communication Network"

The event is organized by International Telecommunication Union together with S-PSUTC.
Welcoming participants, the acting rector of S-PSUTC K. V. Dukelsky, Deputy Head of Department of Public Services in the sphere of communication of Federal Communications Agency V. A. Arefyev, Head of ITU regional office for CIS countries K. V. Oparin, Head of representative office in Geneva of PJSC “Rostelecom” – the representative in ITU A. S. Borodin have unanimously noted relevance of the questions which raised at the conference and the importance of the seminar for development of university and branch, and also all economy in general.
More than 70 representatives of various companies, telecommunication operators, the higher and general education educational institutions, manufacturers of telecommunication equipment, software developers and other organizations participated in the seminar. Exchange of experience in area of development of the Internet of things and its appendices was the purpose of the conference. In particular, the following questions have been considered:
– International standardization "Internet Things", their applications and technologies of future communication networks;
– Perspectives of implementation of technologies "Internet Things" on the communication networks of the countries of the region;
– The perspective lines of development of communication networks in the region.
Within the conference more than 25 speakers have acted, passed round tables, consideration and discussions.
Participants of the event not only presented the scientific reports, but also have defined the most important questions concerning the discussed subjects, designated key problems and proposed solutions, and also developed the general strategy of further development. All these aspects have been reflected in the final document approved in final day of the work.
The Communication Administration of Uzbekistan was presented by specialists of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, SUE “UNICON.UZ”, Information Security Center, and Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad Al-Khwarizmi.
